Description: For 30 years JIMMY D (D’ALESSANDRO) has been a butcher for Giant Eagle, now their Market District store in the South Hills.  He is passionate about food (that comes from his Italian grandmother).  He cooks at home, makes a “pretty mean home-made sausage”, and can explain to people how they should cook many of the lesser known, but tastier cuts of meat.  In this information-based class, JIMMY will cut, explain and cook different “cuts” of pork and lamb.  He’s the real McCoy an old-time butcher. With the always cheerful, RANDY TOZZIE, Market District’s Food Marketing Manager, we’ll taste: Spinach and Feta stuffed Pork Tenderloin • Hoisin Marinated Pork Tenderloin • Jamison Lamb Kebabs (cut from a boneless leg of lamb) • Shallot and Thyme Crusted Rack of Lamb.  Come with plenty of questions and an appetite.
